Dr. Ilya Grinberg

Dr. Ilya Grinberg specializes in Electric Power Distribution Systems design and analysis and has
over 30 years of industrial and academic experience.
He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering
(Russia) in 1993 and MSEE from National University Lviv Polytechnic (Ukraine) in 1979. He is
Professor of Engineering Technology at Buffalo State College where he teaches in the areas of
power systems, electric machines, and power electronics. He also delivers undergraduate courses in
electrical engineering technology at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and graduate courses in
electrical engineering at University at Buffalo (UB).
Dr. Grinberg 36 published refereed papers and was 2005-2006 Chair of Energy Conversion and Conservation
Division of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). Senior Member of the Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and IEEE program evaluator for TAC ABET.
